It's been a long time coming. Patreon always appealed to me as a platform. It seemed warm and fuzzy. A place to cultivate true fans of your craft and help create a sense of stability in the crazy world of being a freelancer. I always worried I could not keep up with such a rigid monthly time schedule. I wanted to be freelance to be free? ...no? But after the couple of years we have had during the true instability of the pandemic I decided to think more positively at what I am capable of. What has truly been stopping me? Fear of failure? "It's ridiculous" I thought to myself. I had started a youtube account during a pandemic, why couldn't I start a Patreon too? I still have the freedom to work on whatever I want alongside all my other side hustles! 😅 I've been working so hard with the rigid schedule that instagram demands of you for years so why couldn't I do this too for Patreon too?

I've been reading a great book by Ryan Holiday (Courage is Calling, p173) recently that finally explains in words how I felt during this time:

"Knowing what it takes to leap ourselves, we ought to admire it when we see it in others. We should let it inspire us too - no situation is hopeless, we're never without agency."

So here I am, announcing my new Patreon. My new journey.
